In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed speech I doubt I can make the plane we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an amazing assistant".

These messages were released on Wednesday together with over 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to confirm his involvement by matching the timeline, events, and locations referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as Trump's closest advisers in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his death and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show earlier this year, he said: "We plan to publish the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released documents suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein seemed to arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are pretty good assistant", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

British Affairs Mentioned in Messages

The published communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

On the same day his speech at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this morning with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled British leader at the time, he continued: "The guys are attempting to move on. May soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think remaining as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so others get the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have no balls" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - someone has to take charge".

Theresa May was finally removed in May 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in late 2018.

A representative for Reform UK told media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The Congress will decide soon on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files related to its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was renewed recently after the release of more than 20,000 documents from his estate.

Some of those mentioned the former president, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
