Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a significant and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone in the area of the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is not yet known and the American officials has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their air space.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on locations associated with the the regime, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," it added.

It said missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
