Golden sun, savory pies and iconic stadiums - what more could an England cricket fan possibly want?

Well, perhaps an Ashes series in Australia where they retain a possibility to win back the Ashes after the first three Tests.

Unfortunately, this scenario is off the table this time, though, after Australia's crushing 82-run win in Adelaide put the hosts 3-0 up for the fourth successive Ashes series on Australian grounds.

England's famous supporters' group, England's supporters' group, have thousands of supporters traveling for the concluding fixtures in New South Wales and Victoria.

There are also travel parties who will be vacationing down under, as well as families and friends heading for a special expedition.

The Disappointed Travelers

A group of four supporters are four such fans.

The group had their flights and tickets booked for the Melbourne and Sydney matches "well ahead of time", dreaming of a rare England series success.

Sadly, they've observed Australia defeat England convincingly in just under two weeks from their family home in the north of England.

"Everyone at work has been making comments about it being over for the last two weeks," commented one sibling.

"We always thought that we would have a meaningful contest still when we got there."

Fading Positivity

There was plenty of positivity regarding the team's prospects of breaking a 15-year drought for a series win in Australia ahead of the tour.

However, the situation is now looking at the possibility of prolonging a streak without victory in the country to 19 games when the Boxing Day Test begins in Melbourne this week.

The England team - and their followers - will be desperate to avoid a dreaded 5-0 scoreline.

Alex said the "thrill and enjoyment" of head coach the aggressive 'Bazball' approach in recent times had "renewed interest in" the longest format for followers of the team.

However, the group said they had realistic outlooks for the fourth and fifth Tests - and all they are asking for from the players is "a bit of fight".

"Every pundit points it out, but it all hinges on fortitude. 'Bazball' has been become a phrase now that is just, like, nonsense cricket," added Rory.

"During a long match, you should apply yourself. Playing at deliveries 'outside the line has never been in the fundamentals, and that is primarily due to the batting lineup."

The Remaining Matches

Prompted about he believed England will secure a victory in the current series, came the reply: "It looks like the Australians are superior right now."

"It will require multiple performers that makes a significant contribution and turns the game."

Regardless of the result, the fans are looking forward to the trip.

"It will be a great time anyway," commented Katie Ryding. "Our approach is that attitude."

"Of course, it's unfortunate we aren't fighting for more, but we have invested a significant amount by now."

"We plan to savor celebrating the holidays overseas. It is also mine and Rory's first time abroad during the festive period."

A teacher, Katie is determined to make the most of the long-haul travel as part of her seasonal break.

"As a backup plan, I can play golf to rely on," she added.
