🔗 Share this article Ex- Physician Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care Legal authorities have announced that a former doctor now faces charges for committing assaults involving 38 victims who were patients. The Grave Allegations Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021. A senior prosecutor said, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.” Scope of the Investigation The charges follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley. Spencer is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th. List of Offences The charging documents said the 45 sexual offences include: Fifteen counts of assault. 17 counts of penetrative assault. 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13. Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen. 1 count of attempted penetrative assault. Authorities have asked individuals with information to contact the investigating team.
